Concrete Floor Repair at Automotive Manufacturer
Inside this manufacturing plant in Tennessee, computerized trains transport automotive parts throughout the facility. Unfortunately, these trains caused major damage to the plant floors; cutting deep grooves into the concrete, responsible for the derailing and collision of trains. This created a hazardous work environment for all employees and needed to be dealt with.
In seek of a tailor-made, high performance concrete repair material that could be feather-edged and importantly withstand the heavy train traffic, the plant engineers turned to ENECON for help. The facility’s local ENECON plant-life extension specialist recommended using ENECRATE DuraQuartz for the job; the product which excels in repairing critical areas that are subject to high levels of wear, impact and abrasion.
The damaged grooves of the plant floor were first hand-ground and cleaned to prepare for the application. Areas in need of repair were then taped off, and the three component DuraQuartz system was applied.
With ENECON’s dedicated on-site support, and training by a local representative, the manufacturing plant’s in-house contractor was able to efficiently complete the floor repairs over a short holiday weekend. By minimizing the amount of down time of the facility, our ENECON team left the plant engineers extremely satisfied with the end result. Future projects at this facility were delightfully scheduled in result of the great success.
